While this lock, or any lock for that matter, will not dissuade a determined thief it's color stands out enough to provide the alert to potential thieves to look somewhere else for an easy laptop. Gray or black just blend into the scenery while red stands out. So, if you are in need of a laptop lock, this is a pretty good option.
Easy to change the combination, small and light for travel and not too expensive.
